Football South is one of New Zealand Footballs seven member federations. As a federation, Football South is responsible for promoting, developing, enhancing and protecting football in the lower South Island including the regions of South Canterbury/North Otago, Otago, Central Otago and Southland.

Our aim is to enable as many people as possible to become involved and have a positive experience in this great sport and allow everyone to reach their full potential whether it be as a player, coach, referee or volunteer.

Over the last few years football has become the most popular team sport for children within the age bracket of 5-18 (Sport NZ, 2012) and throughout our Federation football is played by over 9,500+ Winter Football players, and approximatley 11,000 Futsal players.

There are footballers of all shapes and sizes playing the game for a variety of reasons and we want to enable everyone to find their place within the game.
